Latrice Royale Puts On Some Weight!

I like everyone else loves me some Latrice Royale!  Now she’s gone and made love her more with her debut single Weight and it’s pretty much everything.   It’s funny, catchy and it’s got a good beat.  It also manages to capture what we all loved about Latrice and that’s not always easy to do in a song. 

There are a lot of people out there who are super critical about queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race releasing singles and questioning why.  To me it seems a no-brainer.  Drag queens and music go hand in hand.  Aren’t most drag show filled with music?  I think it’s only natural that a drag artist would want to create their own content.  Some of it is good and some of it is not so good but that’s the nature of art and opinion.

But with lines like: “Bitch, please, my name is Latrice, I’m like diamonds and Versace and you’re government cheese” and “I may be fat bitch but you’re ugly and I can lose weight,” how the hell can you go wrong??

Latrice’s Weight pretty much nails it, in my opinion and ranks up there as one of the best releases from  Drag Race contestant.  If we must compare everyone.  So go out and get yourself some Weight.  Now available on iTunes!
