Pandora’s DRAG CENTER! For RuPaul’s Drag Race S6 Episode 2!

We’re baaaack… again!  Yup, RuPaul decided to have two big openings.  I mean who wouldn’t?  Right?  This week we see the next batch of seven queens to compete on Season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.  They are: Bianca Del Rio, Courtney Act, Milk, Trinity K. Bonet, Jocelyn Fox, Magnolia Crawford, and DARIENNE LAKE!  Ok so I’m a little partial to my galpal Darienne but I will in no means play favorites in my reviews.  Just everywhere else.

One thing I will say is this second group definitely was much more interesting as a whole compared to last week’s gals.  Seeing them combine as one big group is going to be the most amazing glitter-filled shit show around!  But until that time let’s get to RuCapping with this week’s DRAG CENTER!!

Dress by Pin Up Girl Clothing, that’s PinUpGirlClothing.com

*SPOILER* Darienne Lake NAILED that lip sync!  Yes girl!!!

And actually there’s no hate towards anyone in the cast. I admire all of them for having the guts to do the show and put themselves out there. Do I poke fun? Yes. Do I not like actions on the show? Yes. But it’s never hate and it’s never on a personal level. It’s all about what they do on the show because that’s my job.

      1. It seemed to me that it was less about hate and more about not being impressed with Darriene’s outfit, which is certainly reasonable.

  1. Loved the recap! I’ve seen people trying to defend/make excuses for the eliminated queen’s attitude, but I think it’s all in the way things are said. She struck me as very defensive from the word “go,” but I don’t know her. Perhaps it was nerves, but still… nothing she said could not have been said better, even if the result was the same. xoxo

  2. I was expecting a bit more from Courtney, but probably the sewing challenge isn’t her strong point. Anyway this episode was kind of specular to the first one, with the “kardashian queens” winning the mini-challenges and the funniest queens winning the main challenges. I didn’t know Bianca del Rio before this show but I already love her!

  3. My first impression of Bianca Del Rio was that I wouldn’t like her, but she kind of grows on you after a while. Trinity K. Bonet seems like Tyra Sanchez’s great-grand daughter: a pretty face with an empty space behind it. Joslyn Fox seems like a real sweetheart. Courtney Act is like the beautiful girl in school who was always nice to the outcasts because she had a homely cousin who was an outcast at a different school. Beautiful Darienne Lake has a face for the ages. She’s like Helen of Troy (New York). Milk seems like the reality of what Vivacious is trying to be. Magnolia Crawford will be appearing on The 700 Club next week out of drag, where she will renounce her previous life and tell all the fundamentalist tea-baggers how truly truly wicked all those perverted drag queens really are. Of all 14 girls, BenDeLaCreme is still my favorite, with April Carrión and Bianca Del Rio a distant second and/or third (for now). Having said all of that, the girl who isn’t just a Queen, she’s an EMPRESS, the unforgettable Pandora Boxx could outshine ANY of these b*tches with one tit tied behind her back.

  4. When I first read Magnolia’s bio and saw her when she first arrived, I fell hard for her look and humor. Then I saw what she did with EVERYTHING that she was given and hardly used anything. It pissed me off because I thought she had so much potential to go far. Seeing her in Untucked kind of pissed me off a little more. As much as I would have liked to see her stay and what she really could do, she was the best to go in my opinion. She clearly did not want it as badly as the other queens, accepted on the show or still applying for future seasons.

I’m not sure what was going on but I felt this sense of entitlement from her. Also, the things she said about just wanting publicity and such… that came across horridly. She got the publicity but all the wrong kinds. Sad 🙁

      1. It was funny because Trinity even explained to her how she could have worded that without sounding like an entitled twat.

  5. Okay…ummm…Trinity K. Bonet did not say she was going futuristic Princess Leia and then coming out looking like her mama, Queen Amidala, circa Episode 1. Am I the only geeky bitch who caught that?

  7. My favorites out of this seven? Bianca, Milk, and Trinity. Bianca and Milk are right up my alley since I love quirky comedy queens, but Trinity took me by surprise. Her interview and that 10-minute sneak peak made her out to be another bitchy Beyonce-wannabe, not helped by her picking the Princess kit. But then she came out on the runway in a fierce Star Wars inspired getup which I totally wasn’t expecting. I even thought she should have won. And then in Untucked, she was surprisingly reasonable and level-headed. I don’t know what to expect from here, but I can’t wait to see 🙂

  8. I liked the episode, but I can’t believe no one wrote about Khloe’s remark to Courtney, “I want to skin you alive and just wear your body.” Ummm…can we say Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs??? (love me a good psych thriller!) Everyone focused on her pussy comments. As for Magnolia, I loved Chiffon Dior’s comparison to the Penguin in Batman Returns. It’s totally true! HA! I’m really glad Darienne made it through this week. I was a little worried with that dress, but she killed the lip sync and deserved to stay. I can’t wait until next week when you get to make fun of their horror performances. I hope will be a scream!

Also, I am in need of a tall glass of MILK.

  10. Here’s how I sum up this newest group of queens… Milk:Trying to hard to be Sharon Needles…. Bianca: Trying to out do Ms.Boxx… Trinity: A bad attempt at being Tyra Sanchez. The rest are at this point sadly forgettable. Hopefully they stand out and werk it for all it’s worth! Oh I do like Delta Burke, nice to see her back on tv! .. What!? That’s not Delay Burke? Oh I’m sorry, Darienne Lake, your amazing!

  12. Props to all the girls on every season, it takes a lot to go on stage, let alone such a big one. I agree with Five5x, do your homework people. Rochester has some amazing queens. I, much like Pandora, am partial to Darienne, as my first drag shows ever featured Pandora and Darienne. Sidenote: First show I ever saw had the best performance ever… Pandora (At a medium pace) at U of R. Loved it! Keep up the awesome recaps Pandora!

  16. Bianca del Rio and her Rolodex of Hate is everything! She will need it because this is starting to look like a vicious season. I’m really not thrilled with how the producers have essentially broken them into a we vs. they – way to ratchet up the drama. And WTF is it with queens that can’t sew?! You KNOW there is always a sewing challenge. :::facepalm::: #teambianca

  17. I love Pandora’s Drag Center! Always with that fresh out the Boxx smell! Im very excited to get my weekly dose of Cooter back, it really gets me through this Rochester weather. So I’m team Lake for sure, but I do love me some Milk. I’m so glad the judges weren’t hating on her look or I was about to read them judges for being lactose intolerant…. Hugs & Kisses! Stormy

      1. I don’t understand the online whinings about this being a boring season. I think they’re mostly fabulous! I’m glad Magnolia is gone; clearly she’d forgotten her meds! And Vivacious? Uh-uh. Nope! She’s serving up a little too much Maya Angelou realness. Love you, Pandora! Can’t wait to see you in SF at the Castro show at the end of the month!

  22. As a whole, this second set of girls feel much more put together than the first. (with the exception of Ben Delacreme, who is tres adorbs, and is ((in my head-cannon)) the gaylove!baby of Michelle Visage and Varla Jean Merman.) I’m also loving the West Side Story- rival vibe that the two openings have set up. Seems like these twelve are going to be a pretty entertaining bunch. I’ll tell you one thing though. They aren’t ready for Bianca. I’ve known her since high school, and she has ALWAYS had her shit together. She’s quick, and know’s what she’s doing. The other queens better watch out, because there is a pair of binoculars hiding behind all that eye makeup. Hunty can read a queen from a mile away.

Also… You do video game reviews!!?? I need that. All of that. Yes? Please? Thank You. Gaymers ftw!!
